This policy explains how a Digital Signature Certificate and any associated USB token are delivered, and how cancellations and refunds are handled.
1. Nature of the product
A Digital Signature Certificate is a personalised digital product issued by a Certifying Authority after identity verification. Once issued, it is unique to the holder and cannot be transferred or resold.
2. Digital delivery
The certificate is delivered electronically. Once your application is approved by the Certifying Authority, it can be downloaded onto a compatible FIPS-certified USB crypto token. Please download an approved certificate within 30 days of approval; after 30 days it becomes invalid and a fresh application is required.
3. USB token delivery
Where a physical USB token is ordered, it is delivered to addresses with Indian PIN codes. We make every effort to dispatch within a few business days; delivery timelines are estimates and depend on the courier and location. Standard shipping within India is free unless stated otherwise; remote-area or overseas delivery may attract additional charges advised before payment.
4. Cancellation & refund
Because the certificate is a personalised digital product, a cancellation or refund can be considered only before the certificate has been issued or downloaded. Once a certificate is issued, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. Certifying Authority charges and USB token costs, once incurred, are non-refundable. Where a refund is approved, it is processed to the original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days.
5. Failed or duplicate payments
If a payment fails but is debited, or a duplicate payment is made, the amount is normally reversed automatically by the payment gateway. If it is not, contact us and we will help you follow it up.
6. Damaged token in transit
If a USB token arrives with damaged packaging, contact us immediately at info@dscindia.info so we can help arrange a resolution.
